Marcy is one of the first people that I met when I began working in this line of work. I was new at everything, and wanted to make sure I was doing what was right. I began calling and reaching out to her with so many questions. With her knowledge and patience, she took the time to answer any questions I had, even when she was busy. I have truly been blessed to have Marcy in my life. She has always been encouraging and caring toward people who are struggling with addiction. I cannot say enough good things about Marcy Thurman. I’ve been a criminal defense attorney for almost 10 years. For 7 of those years I worked at the Public Defender’s Office in Tuscaloosa. Cannot say enough good things about the services and help that Marcy Thurman offers. She has worked alongside the Public Defender’s Office for years now and has helped hundreds of their clients who desperately need assistance getting back on their feet. As a person who struggled with substance abuse disorder that seemed to have no way out, in and out of jail had become a way of life. I had forgotten how to live. I was fortunate enough to be allowed to attend a program which Mrs. Davis was the Coordinator. It was under her leadership that my eyes were opened to a whole new world of recovery and long-term sobriety.
